Common usage:
On the left, we can see of the most common usage for AI. Customer Service on top with over 40% of the most common ways usage. Companies like Amazon uses AI to personalize product recommendations, marketing messages, and the refund process. While other like Delta Airlines use it as a chatbot that help customers check in, track bags, and find flights. Of course there are movie companies that used AI technology for example the movie The Brutalist uses AI technology to helps enhances the accent of non- Hungarian actors speaking Hungarian. Not just huge corporations are using AI but also smaller businesses. An example that I have experience before is from the restaurant "Pizza-4ps" that is near my home in Vietnam where they would utilize robot servers to bring food to the customers.
Harm
But as stated before, trying to replace too much of the human worker with AI can cause many problem. There are gaming companies that are trying to replace their voice actors with AI and this causing a huge backlash from the voice actors as not only will this means that they lose their job; but also since AI is replacing their voice, this means that the AI must have used samples of the voice of the voice actor themselves without the voice actor permission. this issue is currently still being fight over in the form of the SAG-AFTRA strikes against AI in video games. Another harm it can causes is that some lower entry jobs like assembly line workers, cashier, waiter, etc... may not be available for not just people with not high enough education or have disabilities, but also regular people. There are hotel in Japan like the "Henn na Hotel" that have all the human interaction you would expect from staying in a hotel being replaced by robot or AI. This not only takes away jobs like receptionist, hotel worker, etc... but may also cause a problem in the future if all hotel are replaced with Ai and robot which guest unable to communicate or interact with actual human employees in hotel as they are so used to interacting with AI and robot.
